MaggieMoose: Saturday Pre-Super Bowl Thank You

Maggie’s pawsability thought for the day:

“Unselfish and noble actions are the most radiant pages in the biography of souls.”

Today is Saturday. Maggie and I don’t work weekends (no blogging zone). We usually play, become slugs, do something adventurous or entertain friends & family. We woke up early this morning. Our hearts were bursting with gratitude. I got my cup of coffee while Maggie ate her food and then did her business outside. The first thing Maggie wanted to do upon her return from the chilly outdoors (40F) is get up on my bed to lay on her towel and go back to sleep. She looked at me with her Hello, reminder-it’s SATURDAY! So, up she went on the bed with little boogies still in her eyes from sleep. I explained to Maggie sometimes exceptions need to be made. We must blog today. People need a SHOUT OUT! It’s for those fellow bloggers, twitters, Facebookers and other friends and family that have voted for Maggie #24 in the pet contest she entered. The contest is called Super Dog Sunday (dog photo with a football theme). The goal is to bring awareness to homeless pets. Maggie’s support from her community has overwhelmed us. We are filled with gratitude to all those who have and are trying to support our mission of spreading the news.

Every vote for Maggie#24 means the Petfinder Foundation gets some exposure. We’re not on the staff of the Petfinder Foundation. We’re just pet lovers trying to help a great organization help others (homeless pets). This organization is in line with our mission of promoting moose size pawsability living. We give it the MAGGIEMOOSETRACKS® stamp of approval. Petfinder Foundation understand the words “can do”. As my dad taught me and I’m teaching Maggie “….can’t isn’t a word in the dictionary….” I look up above and silently say thank you dad for teaching me this important lesson and not keeping it to myself. Meanwhile, after my explanation to Maggie why we need to blog she jumps on board with all paws. She cleared out her eye boogies and proudly told me she’s ready to rumba! Let’s blog! Maggie and I say to those radiant souls who voted for Maggie #24- thanks and more thanks! Come back and see us again…. We’ve got lots tucked up our sleeves. Join our adventures of living life with moose size pawsabilities! We say to those visiting us for the first time-there’s still time to vote (through Feb 3rd) and come on back ya all.

FYI-if you’re supporting another football team that’s OK, it’s not about the football. It’s about bringing awareness to the homeless pets. We proudly support our home team, because we’re a football family.
